Mike Gursoy is the founding attorney of Gursoy Law Firm, P.C., an immigration law firm based in Brooklyn, New York. Admitted to the New York State Bar in 2000, he has spent more than 25 years representing individuals and families in cases involving asylum, defense against deportation, family-based immigration, citizenship, and matters related to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

Throughout his career, Mike has represented thousands of clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and immigration courts, including at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan. His practice focuses on high-stakes cases—detention, court deadlines, and family separation—where having a clear plan of action is essential.

Mike is also an educator within the profession. He has taught continuing legal education courses for attorneys through Lawline and gives lectures on immigration law and practice.

He earned his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York City.

Mike leads a multilingual team that serves clients in English, Spanish, Russian, and Turkish from the firm’s office located at 1624 Voorhies Avenue in Brooklyn.
